Life can become insanely busy with school, job, family, etc, the list can go on and on. Some days you wake up in the morning rushing to get as much done as possible for you know the day is about to get chaotic with non-stop action. This might be your morning: You are about to get out the door , you reach for the knob then you briefly stop...I forgot to do my devotional you think to yourself- "I really don't have time, it's already 8:30 a.m, I'll do it later, maybe after my chores." or "Maybe a quick read (you scan over a verse feeling that at least you read something)" You step out of your room and quickly notice a dirty wet dog on the floor, laying down in the kitchen, you become slightly irritated and angry that now not only you got your chores to do but clean the dog. The morning passes by as different chores and jobs come up that were not on the schedule. You finally loose it and storm of into your room, slamming the door behind you. You start thinking...Everything got in my way today..." She realized she didn't read from God's word that morning. She bowed her head...."I forgot to put God first" you sigh.
Don't walk our your door in the morning until you refresh and burst the light of Christ trough your soul. Putting God first into your day is challenging and difficult at times, but take the time you have, maybe getting up a little bit earlier to worship God, reading and reflecting His word. It seems to me that when I don't, my attitude and my thoughts are not centered on Christ. Taking that time of refreshment of His word is worth it. For everything hat God gives and does in our life can we not take at least 15 to 30min praising Him and strive to obey His commandments? If you don't know where to start, start with the beginning and read trough the Bible, soon enough you will get hooked and start discovering treasures that might transform your life.
" I love them that love me; and those that seek me diligently shall find me."
Proverbs 8:17
